Stolpersteine Erkrath

Der Kölner Künstler Gunter Demnig erinnert durch sogenannte Stolpersteine an Opfer der NS-Gewaltherrschaft. Hierbei handelt es sich um zehn mal zehn Zentimeter große Messingquadrate mit Namen und Lebensdaten von Opfern der NS-Zeit. Sie werden vor dem letzten selbst gewählten Wohnsitz der Opfer in den Boden eingelassen. Inzwischen liegen über 60.000 Stolpersteine in über 1.100 Orten Deutschlands und in mehreren Ländern Europas.
