Statistische Quartiere Köln

Ein Statistisches Quartier ist Teil der Kommunalen Gebietsgliederung. Dieses hierarchische System gliedert das Kölner Stadtgebiet auf verschiedenen Ebenen in eine Stadtstruktur und Blockstruktur. Weitere Bestandteile sind eine Straßenstruktur und Adressen. Die Statistischen Quartiere wurden im Jahr 2020 als Nachfolger der Stadtviertel für kleinräumige statistische Auswertung in die Kommunalen Gebietsgliederung aufgenommen, da diese nicht mehr geänderte datenschutzrechtliche Anforderungen erfüllten. Die gesamte Kommunale Gebietsgliederung wird in dieser Veröffentlichung erläutert.Definition: Statistische Quartiere sind durch Teilung, Zusammenfügen oder Beibehalten von Stadtvierteln mit dem Ziel entstanden, homogenere demografische Strukturen zu bilden, indem die Bevölkerungszahl eines Gebietes zwischen 1000 und 3000 liegen sollte. Als weiteres Ziel wurde die Zuordnung aller bewohnten Kölner Adressen formuliert. Die Statistischen Quartiere sind sei Mai 2025 flächendeckende Geometrien.
